Aerial View of Klondex Mines' Fire Creek Property - From the South

A selection of high-grade intercepts have been plotted on the photo. The gold and silver grades and actual widths are reviewed in a table you can access by clicking "here". Old pit workings can be seen in the middle of the photo, with access roads for surface drilling program surrounding. The main entry road is in the foreground. Fire Creek runs diagonally across the bottom left portion of the photo.

Proposed Fire Creek Decline Overlaid With Identified Gold Vein Structures

Klondex Mines filed permits (March 2007) to pursue underground exploration and to begin bulk sampling for metallurgical testing of up to 120,000 short tons of ore. The bulk sampling has the potential to generate substantial operating cash flow for Klondex. Permits are currently anticipated at some point in 2009. The map above is a revised plan for the exploration decline that is subject to change and regulatory approvals.
Klondex Reports 1.64 Million Ounce Indicated Mineral Resource at Fire Creek

(pdf 12.7 MB, 127 pages)

Klondex Mines (TSX: KDX; Other OTC: KLNDF) is engaged in acquiring, exploring and developing gold and silver properties in Nevada and has to date identified an Indicated Mineral Resource in excess of 1.6 million ounces of gold (and a comparable amount of silver) via its deep drilling program at its 100% owned Fire Creek Property.

Klondex is focused on the exploration and development of Fire Creek on the Northern Nevada Rift in North Central Nevada, an area of substantial mining activity which has produced in excess of 100 million ounces of gold. In addition to Fire Creek, Klondex's property portfolio contains three other gold exploration projects covering over 12,615 acres or 19.7 square miles. During 2007, the Fire Creek property was expanded to include the nearby Corral Canyon and Woodtick properties, thereby consolidating them into one program. All three of Klondex's properties are located in areas with strong gold exploration prospects.

Fire Creek comprises 10,708 acres of Fee and Lease land along the Northern Nevada Rift in North Central Nevada. It is strategically located between the past producing Mule Canyon Mine to the north and the world-class Pipeline and Cortez gold deposits to the south. The property is readily accessible via Federal and state roads, is close to the electrical power grid and is within 50 miles driving distance of two large mills.

Fire Creek's Nevada location, high-grade gold and silver mineralization, and proximity to world-class mining infrastructure and personnel, make it a particularly compelling mining prospect. Read more...

2009 Progress Report

On March 31, 2009, Klondex filed an NI 43-101 compliant update report on its 100%-owned Fire Creek Gold property in the Battle-Mountain-Eureka Trend in Northern Nevada. The report, which is available through the link at the top of this page, details an indicated mineral resource consisting of 5.0 million metric tons containing 1.64 million ounces of gold, in addition to an inferred mineral resource of 1.8 million metric tons containing 0.51 million ounces of gold. The report includes the results from two very productive drilling campaigns (Phase 6 and Phase 7) during 2007 and 2008. These programs encountered a number of new high-grade intercepts and have substantially expanded both the width and strike length of the mineralization at Fire Creek. The upgraded resource is a substantial step forward from Klondex's prior 43-101 compliant indicated mineral resource of 1.6 million metric tons containing 1.04 million ounces of gold reported in September 2006.

Leading the Company's efforts in Nevada are its Senior Geologist, James Balagna; the Company's technical director, Robert Sibthorpe; and the company's consulting geologist, who has directed the Company's exploration drilling programs, Richard Kern.

Given the challenging capital markets and their impact on Klondex's share price, the Company has substantially reduced its capital spending in order to preserve capital. The Company will contemplate modest capital infusions to fund its base level operations until such time as it is able to raise capital on terms more favorable to its shareholder base, much of which has been with the Company for many years. Klondex management remains confident in the long term value of Fire Creek, and its ability to create value for its shareholders, particularly given the scope, high grade and ideal location of its gold resource.
